Breakthrough

This series of works on paper was created through the physicality of trying to return to a studio practice after several years of primarily working in professional practice as an arts administrator. Within them is a visible record of reconnecting with the process and personal narratives characteristic of my earlier work. A bridge from paper to pixel, so to speak. At the same time, there will always be a pull to work on paper, to make marks on actual surfaces. Like live theater, the experience cannot be replicated completely.
